Frequently Asked Questions...

HOW LONG DO DRIED FLOWERS LAST?

Dried flowers can be enjoyed for up to 3 years, if cared for correctly, making our bouquets an extremely affordable,eco-friendly and essentially maintenance free alternative to real flowers!

HOW DO YOU CARE FOR DRIED FLOWERS?

  • Do not water - dried flowers can go brittle and even mouldy if exposed to water. Simply place in an empty vase and you're good to go!

  • Keep out of direct sunlight and avoid moisture prone areas as much as possible. Dried flowers can sweat when exposed to sudden changes in temperature. Some of the flowers we use are not colourfast so they must be kept away from surfaces that could stain.

  • Keep away from children and fur-babies! Dried flowers can be fragile and may drop over time.

  • Dried flowers can attract dust over time - this can be easily rectified by gently using a feather duster or a hairdryer (cold setting only!).

CAN DRIED FLOWERS CAUSE HAYFEVER?

Dried flowers are perfect for those who suffer from hayfever as they do not contain any pollen! Finally, beautiful flowers that you can enjoy without the sneezing and watering eyes! Perfect!

Hello!

Welcome to Willow Cottage Flowers!

We are a small family business based in the Nottinghamshire countryside who love everything dried flowers!

Willow Cottage Flowers began back in the midst of the pandemic in 2021. Having both lost our jobs due to the pandemic we became obsessed with home interiors and began to gradually renovate our homes. Sharing Pinterest boards became a daily tradition – both of us comparing whose ideas would look the best in whose home! Ideas complete - the renovation could begin! From fresh paint, cushions & candles to vases.

However - we just could not find the ‘right’ dried flower bouquet to fill the never ending vases we were becoming obsessed with...

Inspired by wildflower and bohemian styles with a modern touch, we sourced suppliers with the highest quality and the very best selection of the everlasting blooms we had been dreaming of.

We strived to create a unique collection of bouquets and arrangements – something that bit different to the standard styles available.

Our first order arrived and we set to begin lovingly creating the exact bouquets we had been searching for…

Our unique style was very soon established – focusing on intricate details, unique arrangements and posie style bouquets – the more detail the better! We have tried endless colourways and styles, tweaking each recipe until it is absolutely perfect!

Our first ever bouquet we created was ‘Violet Blossom’. This bouquet has evolved and is to this day our best seller – featuring in weddings, art work, cake decorations and simply in its original intended use - in beautiful vases.

Fast forward to today, we hand craft and design all of our bouquets and arrangements in our home studio with our own little helper – Willow our cocker spaniel!

We provide flowers for weddings, corporate events, cake bakers and of course, for all of our wonderful customers homes!

Every bouquet is a real labour of love. From the second the bunches arrive from our supplier, we hand prepare each and every stem – only selecting the very best to use in the bouquets. The bouquets are all then weighed and counted to strict recipes to ensure maximum consistency. Each and every one of our unique bouquets are created by hand, designed to add a little touch of happiness to every interior!

We hope we have created that ‘right’ dried flower bouquet you too have been searching for…
